Activated Massachusetts African Community (AMAC) was established in January 2020 by an enthusiastic group of African immigrant brothers and sisters from the African diaspora in Massachusetts.
Our organization started as an idea from a handful of African individuals wanting to strengthen the bond of the African immigrant community in Massachusetts. Originating from this idea, we then began to speak with our African brothers and sisters from different countries living in MA to evolve this idea and set our vision, mission and goals as a team.
We are proud to be the only African organization that is focused on addressing the needs of the collective African community throughout Massachusetts.
A thriving African community united to celebrate culture and promote civic engagement to advance the lives of Africans in the Commonwealth.
Our mission is to educate, support and advocate for the well-being of the African community in Massachusetts.
Cultivating a unified African community that brings together all members, leaders, organizations, and businesses regardless of nationality, tribe, or religion.
Establishing an advocacy platform for addressing the needs of Africans in Massachusetts. Building the leadership and capacity of Africans in Massachusetts to be represented in all aspects of society - business, education, health, and politics.
Uplifting the contributions and celebrating the culture, tradition, and values of diverse African communities in Massachusetts.
Building strong, meaningful alliances with Massachusetts’ leaders, institutes, and other communities to support the needs of Africans.
